Darling House

 
 

This project involves alterations and additions to a heritage listed home in South Yarra, Melbourne. The proposal utilises a low impact strategy of adaptive re-use where both the original structure built in 1856 and a rear addition built in 2007 are refurbished to limit the amount of new building envelope.

The new rear addition is a garage with a roof garden, linked to the main house via a bridge and external spiral stair. The project received planning permission in February 2023 and is currently for sale.
